Former and the only artist so honored as the "Artist of Residence of Baxter State Park".  Maurice "Jake" Day, a well respected watercolor artist, woodcarver, political cartoonist and illustrator.
 
In Jake's own words he shares his reverence and awe for the living things and scenes of Baxter State Park, Mount Katahdin, the captivating coast and his extraordinary Milkweed Ballet.  Through his four sequences, he captures in photographs and paintings his passion for the Maine landscapes, flora, and fauna he so loved.  You are invited to spend nine minutes with him as he creates a magical ballet.
